Cities in a changing climate
A dialogue between Marta Olazabal and Marcelle Mardon on challenges and opportunities of cities in the light of the climate crisis.
Description
Cities are key players in the fight against climate change. On the one hand, 70% of greenhouse gas emissions are generated in urban areas. On the other hand, a large part of the population and infrastructure are concentrated in them and their environment, making them particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. In addition, the climate crisis adds to other important challenges faced by cities, such as increasing urbanization, inequalities and mobility.
In this seminar we have the vision of two researchers who will share their experience in cities of the North and the Global South.
